Far Infrared Rays used in Ancient Civilization

Recently, scientists have come to the conclusion that there is a great similarity between the need of both humans and plants to utilize sunlight. Plants depend on sunlight for food production also known as photosynthesis but recent studies have shown that the level of dependence that plants have on sunlight is greatly similar in terms of concept to human needs.

How is this so? The Earth absorbs radiation from the sun. It then returns a lot of the energy in the form of infrared back to the atmosphere. This whole process generates beneficial warming called “the greenhouse effect.” This is important because if not for the greenhouse effect, humans would not have been able to survive, not only that, all living creatures would not have been able to survive. The greenhouse effect provides a warm atmosphere for the Earth. If not for it, the ecosystem would have tipped off the balance and all living creatures including crops would be destroyed.

For centuries, sunlight has been used for healing. The human body as well as the sun, continuously emits Far Infrared Rays.  Ancient Civilization has long been using this heat amongst people. Chinese healers and Yogis in India use what is so called palm healing. Using the heat from the bodies, infrared rays are passed from one person to another. Placed in a more recognizable modern term, this ancient practice of palm healing would be commonly called Energy Healing. Other names would be Reiki, Chi Healing or Oi Oong.

The foundation upon which Bio-Mat technology is built on can be traced to Amethyst Quartz Crystals which emit Far Infrared rays naturally. There are more than a couple of ways that thermal energy has been used in ancient civilization. Palm healing is just one of them. One should not make the mistake of assuming that only in places like China and India are Far Infrared Rays used in healing.

Far Infrared Rays is considered as old as nature itself. Which is why it is no longer surprising that ancient civilizations already use it. The term may sound modern but even before the studies formally laid this out in the open, humans and other living creatures have been getting a daily dose of infrared from sunlight. One of the benefits of infrared heat is connected to the muscles of the body. Not only does it have a beneficial effect to the muscles, it also helps boost immunity of blood vessels, nerves and lymph glands.

The infrared heat treatment bolsters the function of our cells. It increases and promotes healthy circulation of the blood and helps relieves certain symptoms such as backache, neuralgia and pain from arthritis. It is no wonder that Far Infrared Rays are being used even in ancient civilization. The benefits are just too great. Whether it is used to eliminate toxins from our blood or controlling and maintaining balance of blood sugar and blood pressure, Far Infrared Rays used as treatment remained to be popular and will continue to display its beneficial functions to the human body.

As much as anyone can suffer from back pain, it is those who are overweight and obese who suffer the most often. The reason behind this is that the lower back is the one that supports and holds up the weight of the whole upper body. If one should gain weight, it will add to the pressure and stress that the lower back will have to support. Consequently, if there will be added strain to knee and hip joints it will increase the difficulty of the lower back region to hold up. Additional pressure brought upon by activity such as lifting heavy weight and other strenuous activities will pile on the pressure on the joints and muscles of the lower back.

If not kept in check, the excess weight that puts pressure on the lower back can damage the discs between the vertebrae. If this happens, the bones that make up the spine can form an irregular, unnatural curve. It can cause further damage which can be further aggravated that leads to osteoporosis or scoliosis. Its effect can be seen on a person’s posture and the way he carries himself. All of these factors have a detrimental effect on a person in long term. Back pain would just be the beginning of one’s worries. In time, weight gain can make it more difficult for people to execute basic functions that involve core strength and flexibility.

About 85% of Americans is occasionally suffering from chronic back pain. This could be attributed to a number of reasons but one of the easiest to pinpoint would be the fact that these people are overweight or obese. Almost the entire half of the world’s population is suffering from the same disorder and the reasons are all the same. It is safe to say that back pain is a common ailment, however, if it is not addressed immediately, the long term effects can impede with one’s daily activities and routine. Sometimes, the pain could be so intense that it weakens the body enough that one cannot even get out of bed. If left on its own, severe chronic back pain can even render someone unconscious. Weight gain is one of the most obvious causes to target. If one was to lose weight, he would not only address his back pains, he will also be going towards a healthy life.

Aside from the most obvious solution to weight loss which is diet and exercise, more and more people are learning about the benefits of Far Infrared Ray Therapy to ease back pains and even promote weight loss. A comparison regarding the calories burned through sauna and through Far Infrared Ray Therapy has been made and it shows that infrared sauna can play an integral role not only in relieving back pain but also in losing the prescribed amount of calories per week. Infrared heat decreases joint stiffness and relieves muscle spasms. The lower back being one of the most sensitive parts of the body will benefit greatly from this. Pushing for weight loss while relieving the back pain caused by it through one method is not only effective but efficient as well.

Infrared Ray Therapy for Back Pain During Pregnancy

It is not such a strange thing that women experience discomfort and back pain during pregnancy. Roughly 50 to 70 percent of all pregnant women experience back pains from the very mild to the severe. There is no definite time during pregnancy when back pains can be most felt. Even early on during the pregnancy, back pains can prove to be quite troublesome and can impede the enjoyment of everyday activities. Disruptions in your daily routine can be such a hassle, so much so that you will be craving for a good night’s sleep. As common as this is, there are ways to cure the back pain without having to ingest anything.

As you must know, what women take in during pregnancy can have a huge effect on the baby. This is why women should be very careful of the things that they take while they’re pregnant. Luckily, to combat back pains there is another way that does not require oral medication.

Before we get into detail about this method, let us first explore the reasons behind back pain during pregnancy.

During pregnancy, women release hormones to accommodate the birthing process. This change in the body brought upon by hormones can affect the support that your back provides. Another cause is related to your center of gravity and the additional weight you put on during pregnancy. There are women who do not gain much weight during pregnancy but it is impossible to get pregnant without putting on even a little bit of weight. This is added pressure and stress on your back. Adding to this, your center of gravity will eventually go on forward as the baby inside your uterus grows. This chance will affect your posture. Pregnant or not pregnant, prolonged bad posture is a major contributor to back pains. Whenever your stressed or whenever there are major changes in your body, the weak spots in your body are usually attacked. Most of the changes that will happen in your body will occur around the pelvic area as such, back pains will be prominent during stressful times of your pregnancy.

Infrared heat treatment can provide cure and relief for women suffering from back pains due to pregnancy. According to studies, infrared heat can provide relaxing therapy for pregnant women. It decreases joint stiffness and muscle spasms. Both symptoms aggravate back pains and it would be best to be rid of those in order to function properly. The reduction of muscle spasms can provide relief for those who are having trouble with pregnancy because of back pains. Infrared heat has been known to promote the production of endorphins, the hormone that allows us to endure and relieve pain. These therapeutic effects are brought upon by Infrared Ray Therapy. Pregnant women need not worry anymore about the treatments that they take in relation to the pains of pregnancy.

It’s enough worrying about the health of the baby without having to worry about back pains and uncomfortable muscle spasms. This is an ultimately better alternative as compared to ingesting some other form of medication which may or may not have an adverse effect on the baby.

Do Doctors Recommend Far Infrared Rays for Bad Backs?

A painful back is like an unwanted friend, no matter how hard you get rid of it, it will always come back and sometimes, with a vengeance. If only we can talk to our painful backs in a way that it won’t have to cripple us, everything would be easier. Unfortunately, we have to deal with this reality: 75.6 million Americans are living in chronic pain, and half of those people consult doctors to help them get rid of it. There have been numerous ways to treat back pain, such as risky surgeries, acupuncture and massage therapies, but there is a type of back pain relief that doctors are administering to patients who seem to get better with each use: Far Infrared Ray heat therapy.

One may ask, why does this back pain relief method sound so foreign and complicated? Don’t let the term fool you; Far Infrared Rays are just invisible waves of light from the sun capable of penetrating the body. Unlike ultraviolet rays that damage and burn the skin, Far Infrared Rays enter the body and stimulates the blood flow, as well as targets the muscles for an increased agility. When used in heat therapy by wearing a low compression therapy wrap, the FIR is able to reach into the damaged back muscles and ligaments because of the targeted heat.

The convenience it entails is another reason why doctors recommend FIR heat therapy to patients in pain. As a person with back pain, you must be used to icky creams, mood-altering painkillers and painful nerve shocks, but with FIR heat therapy, none of this will ever be a problem again.  Because the therapy system only uses a lightweight form-fitting wrap and a rechargeable battery, patients can safely administer a session of FIR heat therapy by themselves—whenever and wherever they want.

The back wraps manufactured by FIRheat are the best ones in the market, because it does not emit harmful EMF present in other kinds of heat wraps. This will financially benefit the patients because they don’t have to frequently return to the clinic for check-ups because a 30-minute session of FIR heat therapy each day will provide a cardiovascular boost, a detoxified blood stream and a painless back for months and even years to come.

The use of FIR heat therapy for acute and chronic back pain has been studied to significantly lower the pain and its symptoms. The study said that the continuous use of FIR heat back wrap was “shown to be effective for the treatment of acute nonspecific lower back pain.” You know in yourself that you have been waiting for this kind of pain relief, a kind that’s absolutely safe, does not cost a lot of time and effort, and will effectively take away your pain in no time.

Helpful Information on Frozen Shoulder Syndrome

Frozen Shoulder Syndrome or FSS is a debilitating and extremely painful condition affecting the shoulders. It induces harrowing pain and limits arm movement for an indeterminate amount of time, affecting all aspects of life. Understanding FSS can help you manage painful shoulders and prevent the development of more complications.

Here are the basics of Frozen Shoulder Syndrome to help you cope and recover:

1. The medical term for FSS is Adhesive Capsulitis.

2. FSS is caused by too much or too little shoulder activity. Rest is good for your tired muscles to recover but when the shoulder has been inactive for an extended period of time, it is more susceptible to swelling and numbness. Too much undue stress on your shoulder will also make your muscles sore and stiff afterwards. Stretch before doing any exercises or after long hours of inactivity to prevent buildup of tension and muscle strains.

3. FSS symptoms have three phases: the painful stage when extreme pain is felt, the frozen stage when the shoulder joint numbs and the thawing stage where the range of motion gradually improves. How long each stage lasts depends on the extent of damage and the type of intervention you apply. It’s worth your while to find out which methods will get you through these stages quicker and safer.

4. A person with a severe case of FSS has difficulty performing simple tasks like brushing hair, putting on clothes and reaching for high shelves.

5. If left untreated, FSS can lead to persistent pain and stiffness despite therapy.

6. Trauma, injuries and other risk factors can cause FSS. It can also be triggered by unknown causes.

7. Far Infrared Ray (FIR) heat therapy is the most recommended form of FSS relief for its efficacy with no side effects. The penetrating heat reaches deep into strained muscles, and stimulates more blood flow into the area to speed up the body’s healing process.

8. FSS is rare among younger individuals and is more prevalent among people over 40 years of age. Women are at more risk of getting FSS than men.

9. Diabetics are slightly more at risk of getting FSS.

10. Working with a therapist who can provide a set of beneficial exercises is usually the first measure for long term recovery. Exercises can reduce the amount of pain and strengthen the immune system.

If you suffer from chronic shoulder pain, it is best to seek medical advice. But feel free to check out our shoulder wrap and discuss your pain relief options with your doctor.

FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE

It’s Time to Quit Smoking

United Kingdom, (June 21, 2010) – Strenuous activities such as heavy lifting and rigorous physical activities are often pointed out as reasons for back pain.  It is important to understand that lifestyle has a lot to do with it.  Bad habits such as smoking are contributing factors so one thing is certain – it’s time to quit smoking.

A study conducted by British researchers was published in the Annals of Rheumatic Diseases.  After interviewing 13,000 people about their lifestyles, it was established that smoking increases the risk of back pain by 30 percent. Over 40 similar studies have been performed about this topic and although the exact reason cannot be pointed out, the results show that smoking is associated with back pain, regardless of age and gender.

Scientists are still trying to find out how smoking causes back pain.  The Annals of Rheumatic Diseases published that the nicotine from cigarettes “could affect the manner in which the brain processes sensory stimuli and the central perception of pain.  Smoking affects the way in which the brain sends pain signals to the rest of the body.  It slows down blood circulation to the joints and muscles, damaging the tissues in the lower back.  It slows down the healing process, prolonging the pain of people with back injuries.  By blocking the body’s ability to deliver nutrients to the discs in the lower back, smoking damages it, resulting to back pain.

It is common knowledge that smoking is harmful for the health.  It’s time to quit smoking.  Although it may not immediately provide back pain relief, it is proven good for the back and the pain will decrease in time.  Take calcium and vitamin D to prevent back injuries by strengthening the bones.  Use heat therapy for back pain relief.  It is proven safe and effective as the heat provides gentle warmth and comfort.  Instead of applying hot packs or traditional heat pads, use Far Infrared Ray (FIR) heat emitting wraps.  The heat it produces penetrates deep, reaching the muscles and bones, maximizing the benefits of heat therapy.

Quit smoking – it will not only do wonders for the lungs, it will spare the back of great discomfort and pain.  To aid back pain, use form-fitting Far Infrared Ray Therapy Wraps.  Feel the great difference it does for back pain.
